What Is Southwest Airlines Pet Travel Policy

How Much Does It Cost To Fly Pets On Southwest

Southwest Airlines allows customers to bring small pets into the cabin on their domestic flights. However, pets are not allowed on international flights. Each customer is allowed to bring only 1 pet on board. The carrier may contain up to 2 cats or dogs of the same species and is considered carry-on baggage. It must be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. Southwest does not require a health certificate or other documentation from the customer's veterinarian to transport pets. The charge for a pet is $95 per pet carrier each way.
